Hydraulic facilities, especially those contacting with sea water, are subject to a combination of high operational loads and various aggressive factors. Sea water, corrosive chemical substances, plunging wave, currents or streams impact, abrasive action of sand and gravel, cavitation attack, damping – drying cycles, considerable temperature variations are just a few factors that can be mentioned in this respect.

Taking these peculiarities into account, VSM has been tested to have the following effect on the properties of concrete:

  • increased freeze-thaw stability;
  • decreased shrinkage of concrete;

Fiber length and optimal dosage for a certain type of concrete and its application can be defined individually through comparative testing.
